This page made possible due to the contributions of my ex-husband. It was originally put together years ago and is being republished as is without checking for dead links.
In a high school gifted enrichment class called G.L.O.R.Y (Greater Learning Opportunities for Resourceful Youth), I studied Latin and Greek root words of English words as preparation for the college entrance exam. I could read half of the first chapter of my husband's Intro to Latin textbook in part because it was illustrated, so I could connect English words like arboretum to the drawing of the tree, though I cannot actually tell you the Latin word for "tree."
I was still participating in a gifted homeschooling list when this was originally published. I'm confident it was an unusually rich Latin language list at that time.
I'm divorced. It will never be updated.
