About

I'm a former military wife and homeschooling mom of two Twice Exceptional sons.

After graduating from high school with a spiffy academic record, I turned down my National Merit Scholarship to UGA to raise kids and figure out who I was other than a victim of molestation and the sarcastic "smart kid" hated on by everyone else in school thanks to teachers making sure the smart kids got hatred no matter what we did.

I pulled my sons out of school while stationed in the middle of nowhere to get them out of a dreadful school situation. I joined online support groups because I could find nothing locally on the ground to meet my needs.

I ended up briefly being Director of Community Life for The TAG Project which helped me attend a Beyond IQ conference in the Boston area. So I learned that no school was really capable of doing right by my high IQ, special needs kids and continued homeschooling them after we moved elsewhere.
